Owl is a birder, as seen by the removable binoculars he keeps at the ready. Otherwise disciplined, he indulges in cannolis from time to time. He has a dedicated workspace for map making in his acorn tree, where he plots his treasure hunting/bird watching adventures. On said quests, he collects endlessly and has beautiful displays of these carefully selected objects at home.

Tegu Blocks

It all started with an innocent, curiosity-driven question: “What about a for-profit company based in Honduras that would create a positive social impact through its business?” And from it sprouted one of the most brilliant childrens' toys. Taking a vintage toy and bringing it into the 21st century. By adding strong magnets to the wooden blocks allowing imagination to run wild. Taking a conscientious approach to creating their wooden blocks, Tegu plans sixteen trees for every box sold, or can send a child to school. You can learn more about their process here: http://vimeo.com/17123997
